Tzivalo

With violin player Edith Mathot and accordionist Harm van den Berg I form the group Tzivalo. All three of us also play in Mazzeltov. With this trio we play Klezmer and other great melodies of Eastern Europe.

I really like playing with this trio. The small line up creates a delicate, transparent sound. All three of us can play chords, rhythms, melodies and improvisations. This makes our music exiting and dynamic.

We love to play unknown, old jewels from Eastern Europe, but we are certainly not afraid of playing the klezmer melodies that everybody knows. And not only because people ask us to, we just love to play them!

Tzivalo’s music is perfect for smaller stages and parties.
